和歌山の高野山の麓で作陶される森岡成好さんと森岡由利子さんの展示を開催します。
いつもおふたりの仕事と暮らしぶりに触れたくて工房へと伺いますが、
人の数倍と思えるような仕事を真っ直ぐにこなされている姿を見たり、合間には季節の畑や里山を一緒に散策する時間を過ごしたりしながら、
人間の本質にある力強さや温かさを全身で感じて帰ってきます。
そして今年もシゲさんの南蛮焼締のうつわや、ユリさんの白磁のうつわが届きます。
ぜひたくさん方にご覧いただけたらと思います。

We are pleased to present an exhibition by Shigeyoshi Morioka and Yuriko Morioka, ceramic artists based at the foot of Mount Koya in Wakayama, Japan.
I often visit their studio because I want to experience not only their work, but also the way they live.
Watching them quietly and wholeheartedly devote themselves to their craft, with what seems like an extraordinary amount of energy, and spending time together walking through the seasonal fields and surrounding satoyama, I always return home deeply touched by the strength and warmth at the heart of human life.
This year again, we are delighted to welcome Shigeyoshi’s Namban-style yakishime vessels and Yuriko’s white porcelain pieces.
We hope many of you will have the opportunity to experience their work.
